Consider Selling Your MSP!
NuMSP is a nationwide Managed Services Provider dedicated to offering a comprehensive IT and security service solution for the SMB market. If you own an IT services company and are considering selling as an option, we would love to speak with you at your earliest convenience.
After years providing IT services and security solutions for small and medium (SMB) businesses across several states, our leadership team decided to offer premium solutions in every state in the U.S. The SMB market has always provided most of the job and economic growth in the United States but their ability to rely on technology has always been limited to their own research and knowledge, or the reliance on a Trusted IT advisor. In fact, recent research has shown several trends that indicate that SMB customers continue to be an underserved business segment. Consider:
- 2/3 of SMBs spend less than $100,000 annually on technology
- 9% of SMBs spend $10,000 or less
- 27% of small businesses do not have IT support at all (SMB Group)
- Only 53% of small businesses have a web site (Statistic Brain)
- 80% of small businesses still use a manual integration tool (SMB Group)
47% of SMBs say that they would be willing to increase their overall technology budget if presented with an innovative solution that could enable new business processes.
At NuMSP, we realize the role of Trusted IT advisor has also become more difficult. The advances in technology and the proliferation of security threats have progressed faster in the last five years than in the prior twenty. Because of that, NuMSP is creating a nationwide company with the scale and resources to deliver advanced IT services and security solutions that will rival the solutions leveraged by Fortune 500 companies. We are currently looking to enter new geographic areas and purchase MSPs in our existing markets. If you are interested in selling your MSP and joining a National IT company.
Your passion built your business, but you might feel that you have evolved to the point where you would consider selling. Since the process can seem a bit formidable we would like to outline the sequence of events that occurs if you choose this path:
Step 1 – Contact Us. Once we receive your inquiry we will schedule time to discuss your business. We are flexible in terms of time scheduling and will treat all discussions as confidential.
Step 2 – Tell Us Your Story. Our CEO will speak with you 1:1 and take the opportunity to explain more about our plans to build a nationwide managed service provider. At NuMSP, we are creating an IT company that all small and medium sized businesses can rely on regardless of location. From your side we would like to understand the types of customers you serve, the type of service model you have developed, and the services currently on offer. On a personal level, we would like to understand what level of future involvement you might desire post acquisition. We are willing to discuss and accommodate various scenarios.
Step 3 – NDA. If you decide to move forward at this point, both parties will sign a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). You will supply financial statements for the last three years. Based on this we will develop an initial offer, which we will document in a Letter of Intent (LOI).
Step 4 – Purchase Agreement - After you supply additional financial and employee info we will document our final offer via a Purchase Agreement.
Step 5– Transition - Our Acquisitions Team will work with you and your staff to ensure a smooth transition. We will be investing on the sales and marketing fronts to help augment existing business activities to help accelerate growth in your market.
